Introduction

Buckle up, as Mustang Gold takes you straight into the heart of the Old West, that is full of cowboys, cowgirls, galloping horses, cracking campfires, and a trail of golden horseshoes waiting patiently to be scooped up. Pragmatic Play developed this back in 2019, with a traditional 5×3 grid with 25 fixed paylines that might look simple on the surface; the Money Collect feature gives it more flavor than your average western-themed slot. The line blends with those cash-carrying horseshoes, and once a sheriff badge lands on the correct reel at the right moment, things can get really exciting. And in the jackpot reveal round you get eight free spins for grabs, and you’ve got a game that’s easy to grasp with a few spins. It plays just as smoothly on Vegas Mobile Casino from your phone as it does on a desktop.

Mustang Gold carries an RTP of 96.53% and is in the high-volatility slot territory, acquiring a max win potential of up to 12,000x your bet. Whether you’re someone who’s regular at a Western slot or just glancing, its straightforward setup makes it easy to get ahold of it within the first few spins-and that includes players that found it through Vegas Mobile Casino on a smartphone.

How to play?

Getting started with Mustang Gold couldn’t get any simpler. Because all the 25 paylines are fixed, and every line is live on every spin, so there’s no unnecessary fiddling with bet-per-line settings; just select your total stake and off you go.

Step	What do you do?	What happens?
1	Select your bet.	Select your desired stake.
2	Spin the reels.	Reels are filled with symbols.
3	Look out for matching symbols.	Wins are formed from leftmost to the right across the reels.
4	Watch out for Wilds.	The Wild can sub in to help complete combinations.
5	Look for horseshoes.	Money symbols carry cash values.
6	Land the collect symbol.	All the visible horseshoe values are collected.
7	Land 3 campfires.	Triggered 8 free spins.
8	Select a jackpot horseshoe.	Enter the Jackpot reveal feature.

As most of the slots that follow this style, winning combinations usually need three or more matching symbols that line up in consecutive reels on an active payline, starting from the leftmost reel.

Paytable

The paytable has a unique blend of regular playing-card royals to horses and Western character icons. Here’s a quick breakdown of the generally displayed paytable.

Symbol	3 symbols	4 of a kind	5 of a kind
J	0.20x	0.60x	4x
Q	0.20x	0.60x	4x
K	0.20x	0.60x	4x
A	0.20x	0.60x	4x
Cowgirl	0.40x	1x	8x
Cowboy	0.40x	1x	10x
Black Mustang	0.40x	2x	12x
White Mustang	0.40x	2x	20x

The white mustang tops the paytable as the highest-paying symbol, shortly followed by the black mustang and henceforth. Mustang Gold Logo subs in as the Wild and the Campfire takes up the role of Scatter.

Keep in mind: The special horseshoe symbols have their own rules that they follow. Instead of forming the traditional line wins, they can carry the individual cash value that gets summed up separately.

Gameplay

Mustang Gold runs on a traditional 5×3 reel setup, as the matching symbols line up across those 25 fixed paylines and the Wild sub in to help complete combinations that wouldn’t have existed otherwise.

But the real deal here is the golden horseshoes. They can pop up anywhere across the reels from 1 through 4, each one carrying random cash values. Then, when a sheriff badge lands on reel 5 during that same spin, every horseshoe value gets swept up and is paid out together.

Those horseshoe values have the capacity of delivering a nice little boost without needing any huge combination to back them up. Published game information puts individual money symbol values as high as 35x the bet-definitely not bad for a symbol that isn’t even a part of the standard paytable.

This unique combination-regular wins running alongside the horseshoe hunt keeps each spin interesting. A fairly unforgettable result can suddenly turn heads once a handful of horseshoes show up next to that Collect symbol. And for anyone browsing this slot on Vegas Mobile Casino, this compact 5×3 grid translates incredibly on a smaller screen without losing any of its charm.

Special features

Mustang Gold Wild:

The Mustang Gold plays the role of Wild, appearing on the reels 2 through 5 and subbing in for regular paying symbols wherever it lands. One thing to keep in mind, it won’t be subbing in for the Campfire Scatter or the special Money and Collect symbols-these 3 symbols play by their own rules.

Money collect:

This happens to be the feature that sets Mustang Gold apart. Golden horseshoes drop onto the reels 1 to 4, each one of them carrying its own random cash value.

When the Sheriff Badge Collect symbol shows up on reels 5 in that same spin, every horseshoe value that’s visible on the reels is collected and summed up; after that, the value is paid out all together. It’s truly satisfying when several high-value horseshoes line up right before the Collect symbol lands.

This feature isn’t limited to the base game alone; it can kick in even during the free spins round-this keeps the horseshoe relevant throughout the gameplay.

Free spins:

If you land 3 or more Campfire Scatter, that will appear on reels 2, 3, and 4-then you’ll be rewarded with eight free spins.

The momentum of the game changes drastically during this round, with horseshoes and Collect symbols popping up more often than in the base game. If you land three more Campfire Scatter, then you’ll be awarded 8 more free spins again, and there’s no limit to how often it can be triggered.

Jackpot Reveal

Mustang Gold also comes with four fixed jackpot tiers: Mini, Minor, Major, and Grand.

Jackpot	Prize
Mini	50x
Minor	100x
Major	500x
Grand	1,000x

If the jackpot horseshoe pops up alongside the Collect symbol, it can kick off the Jackpot Reveal bonus screen. There, players get to pick horseshoes one by one, hoping to land three matching jackpot symbols before the round ends.

The Grand Jackpot alone is worth 1,000x the bet, and when in the game’s combined mechanics, the overall maximum being 12,000x makes more sense now.

Theme, Audio, & Layout

Mustang Gold leans into the classic Wild West imagery. A dusty frontier backdrop paired with wooden fencing and wide-open landscapes that set the scene right, while cowboys, cowgirls, and horses handle the character artistry.

The classic 5×3 layout keeps the subtle and easy-to-follow, the symbols are big enough and clearly drawn, which comes in handy especially when it’s displayed on a smaller mobile screen.

The audio leans towards Western-style music and sound effects, matching with the frontier vibe instead of overwhelming the whole theme unnecessarily.

When compared to some of Pragmatic Play’s newer releases, the visuals here have a more traditional touch-but that simplicity complements the game’s straightforward mechanics really well.

RTP and Volatility

The widely published RTP value of the Mustang Gold slot is 96.53%, and it falls into the high-volatility slot category.

High volatility typically means that there will be quite a lot of drier swings followed by bigger swings that show up not so quite often, but they can be quite remarkable when they land.

Keep in mind that RTP is a long-term theoretical value and not something that’s promised over a handful of spins or a single session.

The maximum win sits at 12,000x the stake, and every single one of the four fixed jackpots can pay out up to 1,000x on their own.

If you’re playing through Vegas Mobile Casino, it is always double-checking the RTP, the specific rules that are displayed for that particular version of the game before you proceed with any bets, since these values can vary slightly from one operator to another.

Mustang Gold on mobile

Mustang Gold translates really well on smartphones and tablets, including both Android and iOS.

The 5×3 grid scales down nicely, and the core control stays well within reach; from adjusting your bet to spinning the reels and checking the paytable, all remain simple, without looking through a bunch of menus unnecessarily.

Both the Money Collect and Free Spins

features also get displayed neatly within the mobile screen interface, so the experience stays consistent irrespective of the device you are on.

A stable internet connection is a must, particularly during feature rounds where there’s more happening on screen at once.
